Are you finding having a cat in your family is much more challenging than you thought? Are you having to clean up when they mess, or separate them from other pets in your home? Do you respond to your nuzzling, purring cat & settle down to stroke them only to find that after a minute, your whole arm is in a vice like grip with claws and teeth?

About Shelley
Shelley Holds a level 3 Diploma in Mindfulness for People with their Animals and is a qualified Trust Technique Practitioner.
How Shelley works
She uses a mindfulness technique called Trust Technique that creates a completely relaxed environment allowing your cat to relax and express themselves through their behaviours in a safe way. As she observes their responses, she holds space for them to release any unpeace, their anxiety, reactivity or concerns caused by health issues. The technique allows your cat to find a peaceful state of mind, where they can develop confidence & begin to truly listen to your requests. This technique has an accumulative effect & brings about a lasting change, allowing your cat to let go of old fears & habits & create new behaviours from a place of confidence & self regulation.

How we helped Otto turn his predatory behaviour towards terrified Winnie into a more peaceful state.
The link below is a video clip showing how Otto and Winnie would end up in a full blown fight and how working through mindfulness changed the way they react towards each other. Shelley worked with them both separately to begin with as it had escalated to the stage where Winnie had stopped using the litter tray and was messing in the home. The video shows how hard it was for Otto to bring his thinking down, but he finally managed to relax without Winnie in the room. He learned to self regulate his manic, territorial behaviour and now is beginning to also relax with Winnie in the space too. Winnie’s confidence has been strengthened and she is once again the clean cat she always used to be.
