Does your dog tremble and need to be lifted into your car every time you want to go anywhere? Do they bark excessively every time you try and talk to someone through the window or if they spot a passing dog? Do they throw up in the car?

How Each Dog Travel Session Works

Shelley will work with your dog, breaking down each step to see exactly what part of the travel is causing most alarm and anxiety for your dog. She will assess your practical travel set up and check that it’s safe, legal and the most comfortable for your dog. Shelley will also be able to see if it is travel sickness or something else that is causing the over reaction.

She will then work with mindfulness to resettle your dog in their travel environment allowing everyone to travel together in peace at last.

Here’s Whisky on the right. When Shelley first observed him in the car, he was full of anxiety, which can so easily be misread as excitement. His excessive panting and rapid head movements to keep an eye on each window was not helpful to his motion sickness.

How we helped Whisky overcome his fear of travelling in the car.

When Shelley first observed Whisky travelling, she realised that he was experiencing motion sickness but was doing his best not to make a fuss until it would eventually become too much for him and come out as high pitched barking or whining that was an unbearable sound in such a small space. By changing up the practical set up and working with mindfulness the improvement was great. Just got a message from his human after driving all the way to France with him saying how fabulous he had been on the long car journey there.

Well done Whisky!!
